My Sister's Grilled Pork Chops n' Peaches

My sister-in-law did it again.  She made another amazing meal.  She's quite the home chef herself.  Her talents are attributed to her fine dining and catering background as well as her family's long line of culinary talent.  She has the beat on the latest modern cuisine with a keen memory of tried and true family traditions.

She really outdid herself for our father's birthday.

I added in my baked beans by the request of my beloved new sister.  She was in charge of the well-balanced menu, so it was flattering that she had asked for one of my recipes to marry into the meal.

Here is the wonderful menu and photos:
Clockwise: Berkshire pork chop with Dijon sauce, grilled peach, grilled bratwurst with sauerkraut, green beans with Dijon and shallots, potato salad, baked beans, raspberry lemonade

Our appetizer: my mom's Italian bruchetta dip, served in a beautiful set which was a gift from my new sister, (recipe coming soon)

  2. Thanks, Kris. It was fabulous, thanks to my cool new sis. Well, not THAT new, since I've known her for 7 years and been related to her for four. But, still 'new' in the broad sense, and always cool for just being her.

    1. Thank you! As I said to Rum Punch, where's the genius who's going to invent ISmell or Smell-o-vision?

  5. A million years ago, before I swore off meat, pork chops was my favorite dish. Eating that meal would've been pure ecstasy.

    1. Thank you! It was pretty amazing. If it wasn't for steak and chops like these becoming a vegetarian would be so much easier for me.

  6. I really hate seeing these pictures Charlene. If only you knew what it does to me. All that food perfectly cooked that I can't smell and taste straightaway. I just want to 'grab and go'.
I've never had grilled peaches, so I bet that tastes nice. Oh how I would like to sit down and have a feast with your family. Can't go wrong with a group of top chefs.

    1. With all of this technology, when is someone going to create aroma programs? "ISmell?" We'd love to have you over!

  7. Charlene, that looks enticing, even though I've never touched pork, nor I am likely too. The raspberry lemonade completes the feast. Thank you for sharing.

  8. Looks like a very yummy barbecue! I never had grilled peaches (never had the idea to put them onto a grill! ) and to my great amazement I learned that Bratwurst is bratwurst and Sauerkraut is sauerkraut in English!

    1. You must try grilled peaches! They are DIVINE! Eat them plain or top with ice cream! Just make sure to brush some oil on both sides of the peach before putting on the grill.
